THE fourth fixture of the Borders Road Running League in Caernarfon on Sunday saw Prestatyn RC step up another gear.
The men claimed six finishers in the top 50 and all 10 counters ended up in the leading 100, giving them third place in division one behind hosts Eryri Harriers and Buckley, and they also came third in the veterans’ competition.
Gordon Jones led the squad home while Matt Sims, Dean Longley and George Nicholls all recorded their best positions to date.
As well as 15 men the club had seven women competing, their team finishing fifth in division one, boosting their chances of avoiding the drop next season.
