No fear says boss Gibson

SEVERAL regulars will be missing for Prestatyn when they take on full-timers TNS for the fourth time this season on Friday.

Seasiders player manager Neil Gibson is highly doubtful as he struggles to shake off the effects of flu, goalkeeper Jon Dunt is suspended and will be replaced by reserves custodian Ben Rowley, long-term injury victims Ross Hannen and Steve Hoult are improving but will not be ready in time and striker Jon Fisher-Cooke is out for another two to three weeks with a groin pull.

“It will be good to get back playing after having our last two games called off,” said Gibson. “After the disappointment of the Rhyl game (7-2 defeat) the players can’t wait to get back and make amends.”

Town have given TNS three tough tests this season, unluckily losing 2-0 in the league at Park Hall where they also came back from 3-0 down to earn a remarkable 3-3 draw in the League Cup. They also led the Saints 3-0 at Bastion Road in the League Cup return only to end up 4-3 losers.

Prestatyn, of course, have a proud unbeaten home record in the league to defend and will be keen to pick up points sooner rather than later as the Rhyl loss sent them tumbling to 13th in the WPL.
