THE final round of the North West Cyclo-Cross League, the Macclesfield SuperCross, had a number of locals competing.
Dylan and Sol Kerfoot-Robson (Rhos-on-Sea CC) are getting back on form having been ill for the best part of last month.
Dylan followed up his fourth place in last weekend’s cross at Rhyl with a convincing win.
Sol won the under-10 event at Rhyl and was first U10 home at Macc, ahead of the British Nationals in two weeks time.
Mark Baker and Andy Bryce (Deeside Olympic), and Meliden’s Jonathan Hughes, finished 59th, 84th and 88th respectively in the hour-long senior event. Rhyl CC Cross victor and league overall winner before Christmas, Rob Pugh (FP Mailing), finished a surprisingly lowly 11th behind victor Ian Bibby (SIS).
Rhyl CC U12 coaching takes place every Saturday in 2009 at the Glan Morfa Country Park venue, Marsh Road, Rhyl, between 11.30am and 12.30pm. Contact Jon Harland for more details on 07816 825691.
