DENBIGH hero Mark Webster is on the glory path once more in the BDO World Darts Championships at the famous Lakeside.
The left-hander began the defence of his 2008 title with a comfortable 3-0 first- round win over Dutchman Willy van der Wiel on Sunday.
The Welshman today faces ex- champion John Walton, who beat Shaun Greatbatch 3- 0, for a place in the last eight.
"I am chuffed to get through," said the 25-year-old trainee plumber. "The first round is so nerve-wracking and I was restless all night worrying about my first match."
Webster has not been in the best of form this season, but the number two seed is still among the favourites to win a title he lifted last year with a 7-5 final victory over Australian Simon Whitlock.
