Football: Prestatyn Town FC reserves clear at the top

PRESTATYN Town Reserves moved five points clear at the top of the Mackenzie Jones Clwyd League Premier Division after a 6-3 beating of Aston Park Rangers.

Lucas Brookes and Andy Davies bagged a brace apiece for the Seasiders, Jon Fisher-Cooke and Alec Williams also on target.

Rhuddlan Town were whipped 5-1 at home by Greenfield despite leading through Shane Bucknall.

Denbigh Town Reserves may be bottom of the table, but they hit form in the Premier Cup with a 4-1 thumping of Brynford United, Chris Brown, Jack Glover, Matt Toole and Dean Moss on the mark.

Carl Murray netted five times for Prestatyn Town Youth in their 9-2 demolition of Abergele Reserves in division one. Chris Davies, Paul Watts, Mark Hughes and Tom Bonnett hit the rest.
