Football: Llangollen Town FC sign three new players

LLANGOLLEN Town FC have completed the signings of three new players ahead of the next Welsh National League season.

Joining from Gap Queens Park is midfielder Ashley Wilson while goalkeeper Paul Evans signs in from Bala Town. 

Wilson - a former Llangollen player - is known for his strength, great engine and superb commitment and has been widely regarded as one of best midfielders in the Cymru Alliance.

Evans also returns after four succesful seasons with Bala where he has won numerous trophies. He is a former Bangor City and Caersws keeper who spent his early years as a Liverpool trainee.

Another ex-player signing in for a second spell is young talent Daniel Currie. Still only 20, he is a skilful winger with bags of skill.

Llangollen have announced they will play Gresford Athletic at home in a friendly on July 19 (2.30pm kick-off) while FC Cefn will visit on Tuesday, August 12 (6.30pm).

The club's reservs will play friendlies at home against Wigan Rovers on July 26 and away at Holt Nomads on August 7.
