Running: Denbigh runner in fine display after illness

DENBIGH’S Dewi Roberts bounced back from illness to turn in a fine performance in the Flintshire 10k on Sunday which incorporated the North Wales championships.

Turning out for Abergele Harriers, Roberts clocked 37.03 to secure third place in the MV40 open category and second in the championships.

Saturday sees the start of the cross country season, with the first fixture in Colwyn Bay.
