Rugby Union: Dinbych are beaten at home by Llangefni

IN a pulsating encounter Llangefni took Dinbych’s unbeaten home record and gained revenge for their cup defeat last month at Caeau Les Phillips.

Although the hosts enjoyed good periods in the first stanza, Cefni led 10-0 at half time courtesy of a Rhodri Gray try converted by Max Bracken, who also scooped a penalty.

Bracken landed another penalty soon after the break and there was then a long phase of stalemate before Dinbych grabbed a late consolation improved penalty try.

On Saturday Dinbych travel to Blaina in Gwent for the second round of the Swalec Plate Cup.
