CAER BORDERERS 38 DINBYCH 2NDS 11
DISMAL Dinbych lost their mantle as the North East Wales League’s only unbeaten side after crashing to third-placed Caer Borderers.
The Vale of Clwyd side retain top spot only by the slender margin of their points difference over Shotton.
Late withdrawals did not help Dinbych’s cause and they trailed 12-6 at half time, Dave Perkins kicking two penalties.
Dinbych started the second half enthusiastically and after 15 minutes of stalemate, they finally conjured up a score, centre Geraint Davies grounding under the posts, but that was as good as it got for the visitors.
