Rugby Union: Rhyl edge Menai Bridge in cup

MENAI BRIDGE 3 RHYL 10

NORTH WALES RU PLATE

UNDER floodlights at neutral Bethesda two-try Rhyl reached the final at the expense of a team which plays two levels below them.

Menai Bridge took the lead with a Sam Williams penalty before a drive by the Rhyl pack enabled outside centre Barry Picton to cross for a try.

Resting six regulars, Rhyl had the measure of their opponents throughout in the backs and made this tell midway through the half.

A kick from the opposition was fielded well by Hall who released flying wing Fell-Crook and he selflessly passed inside for Tilley to coast over for a well-worked try.
