LLANDUDNO 26 DINBYCH 19
DIVISION ONE NORTH
WHAT cost Dinbych this game was the failure of their normally strong aggressive defence as individual tackling lapses led to three of Llandudno’s tries.
In the opening 40 minutes, poor defending from the visitors allowed prop Dan Brooker and wing James Gregson to cross the line, Rhodri Carlton-Jones improving twice.
Two Llion Edwards penalties, plus his conversion to a try for full-back Dafydd Cartwright set up by Tony Jones, made it 14-13 to Tudno at half time.
The Seasiders sealed it with second half touchdowns from number eight James Salt and Brooker, again the tackling of Dinbych leaving much to be desired, and the Vale side could only respond with two more penalties by scrum-half Edwards.
On Saturday Dinbych Firsts host Llangefni, the Seconds play Caer Borderers and the Youth entertain Pwllheli, matches kicking off at 2.30pm at Caeau Les Phillips Fields.
