Rugby Union: Dinbych 2nds romp to friendly victory

IN a one-sided friendly fixture at Mold, Dinbych’s second string ran in 13 tries.

Coach Russell Rowlands gave debuts to youth teamers Ken Mellorin and Jon Morgan who both impressed with strong performances in the pack.

Experienced new signing Mark Dilworth also made an impact on his debut in the centres, notching up four tries.

Dinbych led 34-0 at the break courtesy of tries from Morgan (two), Bryn Rowlands, Dilworth (two) and Mellorin, Dave Perkins converting two.

Seven more tries followed from centre James Wynne (2), Dilworth (2), Alan Waterfield (2) and Warren Edwards, Perkins improving four.

Dinbych have a league game at Corwen this Saturday.
