DENBIGH YOUTH 3 RHYL YOUTH 44

RHYL had to work hard for this win in the first round of the North Wales Cup.

Steffan Morris put the home team in front with a penalty from the half way line but tries by Anthony Tilly, James Larmonie, Sam Herd and Paul Selwood and two conversions by Adam Kirby sent Rhyl in at half time 22-3 up.

It was only in the last quarter that Rhyl cut loose scoring another four tries through Kriss Wilkes, Henry Roberts, Ian Marshall and Tilly with Kirby adding two more kicks.

Next Saturday Rhyl travel to Wrexham.
