Football: Denbigh youngsters beat Rhuddlan Town

DENBIGH TOWN UNDER-14s 4 RHUDDLAN TOWN UNDER-14s 2

A CONVINCING win for Denbigh despite them suffering a bad start by conceding a goal in the first few minutes then missing a penalty.

This spurred the Vale side into action and they enjoyed long periods of pressure and possession, culminating in a goal each for Osian Williams and Kieran Bonar.

The second half saw Denbigh continue to dominate and the Rhuddlan defence struggled to cope with the pace of Williams, who went on to score his second hat-trick of the season.

In the face of Rhuddlan pressure, Denbigh showed a vast improvement from last season by staying solid at the back, and excellent performances from goalkeeper Gethin Juckes-Hughes and man of the match Jordan Wynne at right-back helped make it impossible for the opposition to break through.
