Rugby Union: Mock world cup for juniors at Denbigh

DENBIGH Rugby Club hosted its version of the World Cup for youngsters at the weekend.

Ninety children turned up for the mid- Summer festival, with 19 matches played in total across the under-11 and under-15 competitions.

Results:

U11 – Winners: France (combination of children from Groes and Tremeirchion), runners up: Cymru (children from Llannefydd).

U15 – Winners: Fiji (Elgan’s team from Ysgol Glan Clwyd), runners-up: South Africa - Dafydd’s team from Glan Clwyd).
