Rhewl won the toss and elected to bat first with Gill hammering a superb 76 to see the home side reach 211-6 in 52 overs.

However, even after Eccles’ showing with the ball, Denbigh held on for a draw to ensure a 9-7 points split in the home team’s favour as Gerallt Lyle plundered 58. Denbigh eventually finished on 167-7 in 48 overs.
