MORE than 400 people packed out St Asaph Cathedral last week for an evening of festive entertainment and readings, as well as raising £576 for Ty Gobaith Children’s Hospice and St Kentigern’s Hospice.
The congregation enjoyed entertainment from the Ysgol Pant Pastynog Choir, Prion and the Ysgol Brynhyfryd Choir. It was also the second public performance from the Denbighshire County Wind Band.
Festive readings and a solo performance from Denbighshire County Council staff and councillors also made the evening a great success.
Denbighshire’s chairman, Cllr Raymond Bartley, said: “It was a wonderful evening full of festive cheer and I am delighted we raised so much for my chosen charities.
“All that remains now, is to wish the residents of Denbighshire an extremely happy Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.”
