A RUTHIN craftsmen with a royal seal of approval is inviting artists to take over his shop window during the town’s heritage days this weekend.
Ian Pickstock, a furniture maker and picture framer who runs Bizarre Furniture on the Lon Parcwr industrial estate, is asking artists to help make most of the town’s heritage by displaying works in his store during the Heritage Weekend [September 13 - 14].
"There is so much heritage in this area and I thought it would be interesting to see how it is depicted" he said.
"There are many talented artists about but relatively few places for them to display their work. It’s very difficult to get into some of the galleries."
Ian, who counts Prince Charles among his well-known clients, was interested in providing a platform for Clwydian creativity, and is inviting Denbigh’s Tara Dean and Ruthin’s Harry Robertson to take up residence during the weekend.
