Ruthin kids can be High School Musical stars

DRAMA classes based on hit Disney film High School Musical will be dancing their way to Ruthin later this month.

A two-day activity session based on the hugely successful movies will be staged at the town’s Leisure Centre on August 27 and 28, and organisers are seeking youngsters to join in the fun.

"Children learn all the moves and songs from the movie, but interspersed with fun activities throughout the day, and then put on a performance on the second day of the show," said organiser Julie Thomas.

"We also make a DVD of the show, so the children have got something to take home with them and remember the days."

The Ruthin sessions follow a similar workshop held in Llangollen earlier this month, which saw youngsters from the south of the Vale reenact moves from the movies.

At the last performance, children taking part in the workshop ended their activities by jumping into a swimming pool, directly mirroring a notable scene from the High School Musical films.
