Ceramics sales ahead of Christmas at Bodelwyddan Castle

AN exciting selling exhibition of selected work from North Wales Potters’ Association was launched at Bodelwyddan Castle last week.

The Association brings together a wide range of people that share an interest in clay, including professional potters, amateurs, students, teachers or collectors.

Its aim is to educate and stimulate by sharing skills, techniques and ideas, as well as providing important opportunities to promote the craft through exhibitions and special events.

There is a wide range of work on sale.

Deputy Director, Morrigan Ellis stressed that the production of pottery is traditionally a very primitive process.

The North Wales Potters’ Association takes this a step further by using decorative form to produce a very unique finish to each piece of work. Influences to their work include ancient art, current affairs, books, architectural design, natural environment, body language and symbols in everyday life.

The exhibition will run until January 11.
