Denbigh school pupil wins safety art competition

A YOUNG designer from Denbigh has won a top competition after putting pen to paper for an innovative artwork which will be shown across the county.
11-year-old Lauren Jones, a pupil at Ysgol Heulfre, impressed the county council when she created a stylish proposal for their latest road safety campaign.
"We do a lot of work in school about health and safety and I am very proud that Lauren has won this important competition" said Colin Jones, Headteacher.
"Her poster is very simple but carries a hugely important message for the people of our community."
The winning design has now been printed as posters and postcards and will be distributed across the county.
