Young Denbigh gardeners given funding boost

GREEN-FINGERED girls and boys from Denbigh can now plough on with their gardening after receiving funds to buy equipment.

Denbigh Youth Project, which sees youngsters prepare and cook their own vegetables, received a Make It Happen Grant - funded by the Big Lottery - of almost £5,000 to help with their allotment project.

Manager Russell Davies said: "The money will provide young people with the opportunity to learn new skills and further enhance the personal support programmes offered to young people at Denbigh Youth Project."

The Project hopes to improve the health and well being of young people in Denbigh.
