Head students chosen at Bala's Ysgol Y Berwyn

PUPILS at one Bala school have landed the prestigious prize of becoming its head students for the new school year, it was announced this week.

Mared Griffiths and Rhys Gwynfor were chosen by fellow pupils and teachers for the positions at Ysgol Y Berwyn on Monday [September 8], with Robyn Ffrancon and Elin Gwyn elected as their deputies.

"They are sure to give their best and to become leaders the school can be proud of" said Huw Dylan Jones, Head of Sixth Form.

The foursome are all Year 13 pupils at the school, and will be expected to play a leading role in representing the school at meetings and events throughout the coming year.
