Bala school pupils raise cash for cancer charity

BOYS and girls at Bala's Ysgol Berwyn have been doing their bit to raise funds for cancer awareness and held a series of events earlier this month at their school.
The students all arrived wearing a pink or red item of clothing and paying a small sum for doing so, with proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research.
Among other events held were a strawberry tea themed lunch hour, and a bike ride held by the school’s sixth formers around around Llyn Tegid.
Nearly £550 has been raised so far by the school and is expected to reach £600 before their charity drive’s closing date.
