ATHLETES are anticipating a gruelling challenge among the stunning Snowdonia scenery at a testing triathlon challenge being held at Bala this weekend.
The Bala Middle Distance Triathlon on June 8, aims to be a family-friendly event and hopes to attract competitors from across the UK and Ireland.
Bala Town Council Mayor Islwyn Pritchard-Jones said: "Bala Town Council are very happy to assist Wrexham Tri Club with the Triathlon. The event contributes greatly to the local economy and places Bala Town on the map."
The event starts on the shores of Llyn Tegid at 9am on Sunday.
