AN open day will be held at Ty Croeso, Dawn Elizabeth House, at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd tomorrow.
The day is to allow the charity’s friends and supporters to view the results of their recent refurbishment programme and to introduce themselves to some of the new management team in the hospital following the merger and the formation of the new North Wales NHS Trust.
Ty Croeso Dawn Elizabeth House is a six-bedded house near the children’s ward in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd and is a charity supported by the voluntary Parents Accommodation Link Support Group (PALS).
Nearly 3,000 families have used the facility since it opened in 1994 and it was set up as a “home from home.”
The parents of sick children can stay as long as they need.
In March, Dawn Elizabeth House, was given a cash boost when it was awarded £3,500 from the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm Community Fund.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day and weather permitting the garden will also be open.
The house, which celebrated its 15th anniversary in April, is named in memory of Dawn Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Vera and David from Mochdre, who made a substantial donation towards it when it was built.
The event is held tomorrow (Thursday) from noon to 7pm.
