A WOMAN was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation after a fire in Rhyl on Sunday night.
Firefighters from Abergele were called to the flat on Princes Street at 6.45pm after a chip pan caught fire in the kitchen.
The fire was out on arrival but the woman occupant required treatment after inhaling smoke.
She was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan.
Fire crews from Rhyl and Prestatyn also had to attend a second fire in Rhyl at 6.42pm. The blaze caused damage to the ground and first floor of a house on South Kinmel Street. No-one was injured.
