Prestatyn High School GCSE results

PUPILS and staff at Prestatyn High School are overjoyed with GCSE results released last Thursday, which build on success from the year before.

High-flyers include Madeleine Whyler, who was awarded seven A*s and five A grades; Simon Williams, who managed five A*s and five A grades, and Amel Chaudhry, who achieved six A*s, three As and one B.

Headmaster Philip Pierce said: “We are very pleased with our performance overall, which has improved on last year. Special mention must go to our boys, whose results have risen by 7% in the high grade category, bucking national trends.

“Everyone has some passes to celebrate and we expect numbers in the sixth form to be bigger than ever. Well done to the students, their families and all the staff at the school who have worked so hard.”
