Aberegele GCSE results

THE Abergele school recorded its best ever GCSE results with a high number of pupils achieving at least five A*-C grades, including an impressive number of passes at A* and A.

Amongst the batch of excellent results were outstanding performances from Alice Keel, who achieved a fantastic 10 passes, including eight A*s and two A grades.

Timothy Flack also gained 10 passes with five A*s and five A grades, while Dexi-Louise Ellis managed 11 passes, five of which were A*s.

Head of Year 11, Nichola Seymour, commented: “It is wonderful to see such a talented group of young people achieve the success they deserve. I wish them all the very best for the future.”

Further scores, worthy of special note, include a whole collection of exceptional GCSE performances that have been “posted early” by Year 10 students in science, health and social care, ICT, Welsh, art and design and applied business. The school says these bode well for sustained improvement next year.

Headteacher Nayland Southorn added: “These are all excellent results which sustain the year-on-year improvement in our public examination performance. They are just reward for the hard work, skill and perseverance of so many of our students.

“They also reflect the highest quality teaching, advice, guidance and dedication put in by staff at the school. A special mention should also be made of all the parents who have given so much consistent support to their children.”
