CBeebies at Venue Cymru

CBEEBIES is arriving at Venue Cymru in Llandudno for two fun packed days this summer holiday on Tuesday and Wednesday (August 20).

CBeebiees at the Theatre – Let’s Play stars some of the BBC’s favourite friends as part of a mammoth 30-week 200-venue tour which is running throughout the UK until November.

Familiar faces from CBeebies will include Balamory’s PC Plum, Jenny Jumble, Postman Pat, Bill and Ben and Tamba from Tikkabilla.

When PC Plum calls on friend Jenny Jumble she has a surprise for him – a talking recycling bin. The bin takes everyday leftover things and turns them into something useful and fun. With a little imagination and the bin’s help, Jenny Jumble and PC Plum sing and dance their way through all sorts of fun-filled adventures with their CBeebies friends.

The pair find Boo in the jungle, charter a boat with Tamba, ride a runaway train with Postman Pat and Jess, and discover compost with Bill and Ben, before joining a rock and roll band with the Jakers. But while the CBeebies friends have fun, Polluto, who hates recycling, is plotting to ruin the day!

The show’s writer and director, Martin Waller was excited about the show and explained how the green theme introduced young viewers to recycling.

“The show gives children a chance to engage with their favourite CBeebies characters; nothing can compete with seeing your favourite star live,” he said.

“The story’s about the fact recycling can actually be fun! It introduces pre-schoolers to recycling in a simple and fun way. And it’s not everyday you get to meet a talking recycling bin! Positive messages regarding environmental issues introduced early in life can only be for the good, as hopefully it will become second nature for them to want care about the world they live in.”
