Expert angling tips on offer at Llyn Brenig course

Llyn Brenig

FANTASTIC fishers will be flying into Corwen this Sunday (July 6) to give anglers young and old a chance to hone their skills at the Vale’s largest lakes.

Rangers from Welsh Water will be offering visitors to Llyn Brenig, near the town, a one day course on fly fishing for beginners and improvers.

"Now that the weather is warming up it’s a great time for people to start a new hobby like fly fishing. The course gives beginners a chance to learn the basics and more experienced anglers to master the art of the sport" said Llyn Brenig Site Controller Edmund Parsons.

The reservoir, which is owned by Welsh Water, also hosts other activities including angling, sailing and windsurfing, pond dipping, bird watching and guided nature walks.

The course, which runs between 9.30am until 4pm, costs £30 for adults and £15 for juniors. To book your place, call the Rangers’ Office, on 01490 420463.
