STUDENTS from across the Vale of Clwyd stunned with their achievements at a glittering awards ceremony held by a North Wales college last week.

Coleg Llandrillo Cymru hosted its Annual Students’ Award Ceremony for the Directorate of Hospitality, Business & Tourism at its Rhos-on-Sea campus in Conwy, and saw an array of awards bagged by Denbighshire students.

"The students have been chosen for the awards on the basis of their achievements, and the initiative and motivation they have displayed throughout the year" said Pauline Dale, Head of the Hospitality Programme at the programme.

Among the Clwyd claimants of the awards were Denbigh woman Rebecca Stone, who won the Culinary Skills Excellence prize, and Trefnant’s James Brindley, who took the Student of the Year honours.

Coleg Llandrillo Cymru also has sites catering for students across the county, with campuses in Denbigh, Rhyl, and Abergele.
