In the pink for fun run
THOUSANDS of women and children put their best foot forward for Cancer Research UK's Race for Life at Rhyl.
More than 3,000 females donned pink outfits and jogged, walked or skipped the five kilometre course on Sunday.
Virtually all the women carried details on their backs of why they were participating, either to remember loved ones who had lost the battle against cancer or to say “thank you” for having survived.
For Coral Lloyd-Jones, from Abergele, a combination of factors persuaded her to join in. Her father Michael Lea died of cancer six years ago and in September, 2006, she herself completed her treatment for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
