The Soldiers are set to march on Rhyl Pavilion

AFTER Storming the pop charts The Soldiers are advancing on Rhyl.

Sergeant Major Gary Chilton, Sergeant Richie Maddocks and Lance Corporal Ryan Idzi are following the success of their album Coming Home with a full UK tour – stopping off at Rhyl Pavilion Theatre on the April 13 next year.

The three serving soldiers have been dominating the charts and although divorced from their day job, they say music has always been an integral part of their lives.

Youngest member Ryan Idzi, 24, appeared on X Factor and made it through to the boot camp stage of the show. He was described by Danni Minogue as being ‘gorgeous’.

The trio are also gearing up for performances at both the Children of Courage Awards and the Royal Variety Performance. Proceeds from the group’s album and number 4 single Coming Home are being donated to Help for Heroes and the Royal British Legion. Their prospective Christmas single A Soldier’s Christmas Letter will also donate 25p from every sale to charity.

Their album was produced by Nick Patrick who has won seven Brit Awards and helped sell over 40 million albums. He believes the boys are as good as the UK’s best classical artists saying, "they are some of the most genuine and heartfelt voices I’ve heard in a long time."
