Monster Magnet
ROCK fans will by now know that for a proper fix of beer- soaked headbanging fun there is only one place in North Wales to be – Pontins, Prestatyn!
After the mega success of last year's sold-out event and April's equally as sold-out Hammerfest, Pontins plays host to Hard Rock Hell 3 over the weekend December 4-5.
A special VIP pre-party kicks things off on the Thursday night but the real fun begins Friday afternoon and runs through until the wee small hours of Sunday.
Friday sees stoner rock legends Monster Magnet headline the evening being supported by Bradford's favourite cheeky rock sons Terrorvision as part of their How To Make Friends And Influence People tour , plus there's glam action from Ratt and Gun, word up!
In true festival style the HRH crew have saved the best until last and on Saturday night the main stage will see WASP debuting material from their new Babylon album, Queensryche, New York Dolls and The Quireboys take you back to the 80s.
There are 55 bands performing over three stages during the weekend. Combine that with signings, secret shows, competitions, full bar and catering facilities and more merchandise than you can shake a stick at and you've a recipe for a rockin' good time.
Event organiser John Davis said: "For HRH 3, which is now sold out yet again, we are going into a new frontier with an extra night being added plus over 60 premier bands ready to make HRH 3 the best yet.
"Everything has been built on pure perception from our very loyal front line fans who are the ones, who make HRH what it is today.
"In a recession, HRH seems to be one of the few brands breaking the trend".
Hot new act Mayra Roxx, featuring former Anthrax guitarist Paul Crock will be performing on the Friday to promote their new forthcoming album Payback Time.
Hard Rock magazine say of Mayra Roxx: "A positive surprise, an amazingly good new female rock artist," so be sure to check them out on the 5th and listen out for new single 21.
