HUGELY popular Irish stand-up and host of BBC 2’s Mock the Week, Dara O’Briain, is extending his spring 2008 tour to the autumn and will bring his show, Due To Public Demand, to Rhyl’s Pavilion Theatre at the end of the month.

Renowned for his topical humour, story-telling and relentless delivery this show brings together hilarious anecdotes and top-class audience banter. Among other things Dara will be taking joy in the death of a magician, discovering a naked man in his hotel room and protesting over the on-going war on bacteria.

On top of his growing reputation around the world as a leading comedian, Dara has also been busy with numerous television projects.

As well as the hugely popular Mock the Week, he also appeared last Christmas in the BBC2 special Three Men in Another Boat, which featured Griff Rhys Jones and Rory McGrath and received record ratings of four million viewers. He also appeared last December hosting BBC1’s Live at the Apollo and later that month BBC2 transmitted his own one-man show Dara O’Briain Live at the Theatre Royal.

Dara has been a regular on television's top stand-up shows and has made regular appearances on, among others, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Parkinson and QI.

On Monday, November 17, Dara’s second DVD Dara O’Briain Talks Funny Live in London recorded at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, will be released by Universal Pictures.

The critically acclaimed show will be accompanied by an extras package which will include Dara’s sell-out show at Dublin’s Vicar Street and a personal, critical review by comedian/actor David Mitchell and Dara himself on the contents to the DVD.

"Dara O’Briain is rapidly turning into one of the most in- demand comedy presenters around, and his effortless comic presence has also ensured he’s one of the hottest tickets," writes The Independent.

Dara O’Briain will be appearing at the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl, on Thursday, October 30, at 8pm. Tickets are £19.50 with no concessions.
